唐寅（1470—1523），字伯虎，一字子畏，號六如居士、桃花庵主、魯國唐生、逃禪仙吏等，漢族，南直隸蘇州吳縣人。明代著名畫家、文學家。據傳他於明憲宗成化六年庚寅年寅月寅日寅時生。他玩世不恭而又才氣橫溢，詩文擅名，與祝允明、文徵明、徐禎卿並稱“江南四大才子（吳門四才子）”，畫名更著，與沈周、文徵明、仇英並稱“吳門四家”。

Tang Yin (1470–1523), courtesy name Bohu, alternate name Ziwei, art names Liuru Jushi, Taohua Anzhu, Luguo Tang Sheng, and Taochan Xianli, was a Han Chinese from Wuxian, Suzhou, Southern Zhili (now Jiangsu Province). A renowned Ming dynasty painter and literary figure, he is said to have been born during the sixth year of Emperor Xianzong’s Chenghua reign (1469), on the day, month, and hour of the Tiger in the Chinese zodiac. Known for his irreverent yet brilliant personality, he was famous for poetry and prose. Along with Zhu Yunming, Wen Zhengming, and Xu Zhenqing, he was one of the “Four Talents of Jiangnan (Wu Men Four Talents).” His painting reputation was equally distinguished, and he is counted among the “Four Masters of Wu” alongside Shen Zhou, Wen Zhengming, and Qiu Ying.
